A New Way of Life Re-Entry Project, founded by Susan Burton in 1998, provides housing and support services to formerly incarcerated women in South Central Los Angeles. The program facilitates a successful transition back to community life. A New Way of Life provides a clean, safe, sober-living home; offers educational and skill-building opportunities; and advocates for the rights of prisoners, former prisoners and their families. The program has helped transform the lives of more than 600 women and their children. For more information about A New Way of Life, please visit anewwayoflife.org.
